Morgan Leichter-Saxby toured across Illinois, Indiana and Missouri during her tour this past Fall. She has set off on 23rd October. The trip started in Chicago, then moved onwards to Indianapolis. There was a brief stop in St Louis before she returned to Illinois to speak in Champaign-Urbana, finishing up in Chicago again on 11th November.
This 20-day tour was made possible by five different host organisations and individuals who have invited one half of Pop-Up Adventure Play – a small international charity – into their communities. The tour focused on the importance of play and highlighted how vital it is to support one another by creating a community of children’s play advocates. Emphasising connection and relationship-building, Morgan demonstrated the value of physically visiting communities that seek to prioritise children and their play.
